St. Ed Wednesdays

  • St. Edward State Park 14445 Juanita Dr NE Kenmore, WA, 98028 United States (map)

Meet in the park parking lot in front of The Lodge (aka the old seminary) in Saint Edward State Park between Kenmore and Kirkland, on the east side of the north end of Lake Washington. We run about 3.5 - 4 miles total in the winter. We start with gentle and then more earnest switchbacking downhill to the water, then rollercoaster along the shore for about a half mile. Then we do a very steep climb up and then bounce along a ridge back to The Lodge. From there the terrain is gentle and winding to add another 1.5 - 2 miles.

A state parks pass is required to park - you can buy one at the kiosk in the parking lot with a card.

Bring a headlamp with an hour charge - it’s getting dark.

Optional meetup at The Lodge in the downstairs bar afterward. We can take our drinks outside if we want to brave the weather, but there’s no protected outside seating. It’s great in the summer! It’s a full bar with upscale snacks and a happy hour.

Optional: at all our runs, we happily accept cash or check donations of any amount for API Chaya.
